I'm currently exploring a new startup idea which I hope to share more about on here soon!
From 2018 to 2021, I was CTO at Pula, who insure over a million smallholder farmers. Pula's core tech stack is in Python + Django running on AWS, with mobile apps built in Kotlin and Dart + Flutter
I co-founded AfricanStockPhoto, where we help photographers from Africa tell more authentic stories. I built our system in Groovy/Grails, with touches of Vue, Java Spark, React and NodeJS.
Until early 2018 I was CTO at FrontlineSMS, an awesome messaging automation startup where I led the full-stack dev team responsible for designing, building, testing and running everything at Frontline.
Prior to my time at Frontline, I worked at CGI (formerly Logica), as a middleware software dev on a long-running SOA-based project in the private telecommunications sector.
I got my Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of Manchester, during which time I did placement at Deutsche Bank in London, where I helped automate in-house processes in their Liquidity Risk IT team.
